MICHAEL MILLER’S 1935 PLYMOUTH
When Michael brought his 1935 Plymouth Business Coupe it was 40% striped of the older paint and filler. Michael had worked on the car himself and was not fully satisfied with the results. We block sanded the remaining 60% of product left by the owner, and filled the low areas with a thin lightweight filler. We, applied 2 wet coats of epoxy primer surffacer and baked it at 160 degrees for 2 hours. After a 24 hour wait period we repeted the block sanding process to inshure all repairs are properly prepped for the painting process. The primer surffacer serves as a thin coat of filler that helps to get those lazer straight body panels. Michael did not want to use a clear coat. We advised Michael to use a rich blue colored single stage paint. Single stage paint retains enough UV protectant to not need a clear coat while still having a shine that tops most modern day automobile finishes
